Brownstown Agronomy Research Center Field Day

The University of Illinois Department of Crop Sciences will host the 2010 Brownstown Agronomy Research Center Field Day on Thursday, July 29, beginning at 9:00 a.m. This year's field day will offer a five-stop field tour on shaded wagons, highlighting some of the latest agronomic research being conducted by the department.

Every cropping season presents unique challenges, and 2010 is no exception. Crop production studies conducted at research centers like Brownstown are locally relevant to the growers farming in those areas, representing the unique soil types and growing conditions there.

These topics will be covered this year:

The research center is located on IL Route 185 south of Brownstown. The last tour will start no later than 9:20, so be sure to come early. A free lunch will be provided after the tours.
