University of Illinois Agronomy Day, August 21, 2008

The 52nd consecutive University of Illinois Agronomy Day at the Crop Sciences Research and Education Center (aka "South Farms") in Urbana will be held on Thursday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The theme for this year is "Energizing Agriculture." Tour topics include bioenergy, continuous corn, foliar fungicides, management of insects with transgenic corn, weed management, and soybean cyst nematode management. A special program at noon will feature the issue of biofuels. Lunch is provided, with tickets sold at the registration table in the main tent, where coffee, pop, and donuts may also be purchased from the Field and Furrow Club.
