Monitoring Western Corn Rootworms in Soybeans: Check Out Our Website!

Several weeks ago, in issue no. 15 of this Bulletin, we included an insect information fact sheet that described the trapping procedures for western corn rootworm adults found in soybean fields. If you are trapping beetles in soybean fields with Pherocon AM traps, we would like to learn what your trapping efforts are revealing. To share the results most efficiently, please consider reporting your captures on our web site by using the following address:

www.aces.uiuc.edu/~ipm/field/corn/imr/wcrscout/wcrscout.html

Later this season, we can share the results of this cooperative venture with our readers. Also, if you have any suggestions regarding how the reporting form on the website can be improved, please contact Susan Ratcliffe, Extension entomologist, (sratclif@uiuc.edu). Good luck with your monitoring program!
