A Reminder about Insecticides and Herbicides

Many acres of replanted corn may have received an application (or second application) of an organophosphate soil insecticide. The April 8 issue of this Bulletin described some precautions to consider regarding the potential for certain herbicide/insecticide interactions. In general, consult the respective labels for information about applying ALS-inhibiting corn herbicides to corn previously treated with organophosphate soil insecticides. Additionally, the May 20 issue contained information about herbicide label restrictions with respect to foliar applications of organophosphate insecticides.
