50 Years of Spray School--Plan to Attend

A summary and highlights of the 1998 Illinois Agricultural Pesticides Conference were provided in the last issue of this Bulletin (no. 23, October 10). I'll remind you again: We will celebrate our 50th anniversary next January, and we hope you plan to attend to celebrate with us. (On a sad note, Pete Petty, the founding father of the "Spray School" passed away on October 26, 1997. We will remember him with a brief memorial and tribute at the conference in January.)

A preregistration form for the conference is included in this issue of the Bulletin. I invite you to complete this form and send it to the address indicated so we can begin to get an idea of the number of participants to anticipate. Preregistration for the conference this year is $75; walk-in registration will be $90. Both the Proceedings of the conference and the 1998 Illinois Agricultural Pest Management Handbook will be provided to each registrant. Those who preregister also will receive a packet of additional information provided by Conferences and Institutes.

I look forward to seeing you at the conference. Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail if you have any questions about the content of the program. Contact Conferences and Institutes if you have questions about registration. See you in January!
