Reminder: 2009 University of Illinois Corn and Soybean Classics
Six Corn and Soybean Classics will be held the first two weeks of January, in Mt. Vernon, Champaign, Bloomington, Springfield, Moline, and Malta.
A New "Illinois Crop Protection Technology Conference" in 2009
Though the format is still being planned, December 1 and 2, 2009, are the dates for a new educational conference to replace the long-time Illinois Crop Protection Technology Conference. Stay tuned for more details.
Sulfur for Corn
Volunteers are needed throughout Illinois to participate in on-farm research measuring corn response to sulfur applications.
Fall and Winter Applications of Urea for Corn
The risk of N loss from urea application in the fall or winter is too large to consider the practice, even when urea is cheaper than anhydrous ammonia.
Reports are provided this issue for northern and west-central Illinois.
