Cobalt Insecticide Registered

Cobalt, an insecticide manufactured by Dow AgroSciences LLC, has been registered for use to control insects infesting certain field, fruit, nut, and vegetable crops. The active ingredients of Cobalt are chlorpyrifos (the active ingredient of the organophosphate Lorsban) and gamma-cyhalothrin (the active ingredient of the pyrethroid Proaxis). Cobalt is registered for use in alfalfa, corn (field, sweet, seed), grain sorghum, soybean, and wheat, as well as in a few other crops.
