Issue No. 1, Article 1/March 22, 2012
Welcome to the 2012 Bulletin
I would like to welcome everyone to the 2012 University of Illinois Bulletin, our longstanding outlet for information on crop production, development, and protection from Extension specialists in the Department of Crop Sciences. We will continue striving to ensure that we provide our readers with the most objective, science-based information possible.
If you have followed the Bulletin in years past, we welcome you back for another season. If you’re new to the Bulletin, consider signing up for email notifications that will tell you when a new issue or updated information is published. It’s simple to do and, perhaps best of all, it’s absolutely free. You can access the Bulletin online throughout the growing season at bulletin.ipm.illinois.edu.
The 2012 edition of the Bulletin will begin much like previous years, with the change to weekly publication beginning in April. In the fall we will begin to implement changes that we hope will provide more flexibility in how we share information. We will provide periodic updates on the coming changes throughout the season.
On behalf of all University of Illinois Extension specialists and educators who contribute information to the Bulletin, I thank you for your continued support of our efforts. We wish everyone a safe and productive growing season.--Aaron Hager
