Vince Davis, soybean specialist, will talk about soybean issues, including seeding rates and other inputs for high yields. Mike Gray will discuss the current insect situation and changes in corn traits and refuge requirements.
Bioenergy crops, including the switchgrass planting now at Orr Center, will be covered by DK Lee, U of I biofuel crops agronomist. Emerson Nafziger will address the state of the corn crop in the area and will cover various corn "additives," such as hormones, micronutrients, and inoculants, that are on the market these days.
